In February 2015 I had the privilege of participating in New Zealand String Quartet’s Adam Summer School, held in Nelson, South Island New Zealand, from 7-15 February 2015.   Each year this chamber music course brings approximately 30 of New Zealand’s talented young string players and pianists together to rehearse and perform significant chamber music works from the 19th and 20th centuries.  I collaborated with Anna (violin) and Dominic (cello) Lee on Shostakovich’s Piano Trio no. 2 in E minor, Op. 67, performing the entire work in the final concert in the lovely Old St John’s on Sunday 15 February 2015.  Thankyou to Diedre Irons and the New Zealand String Quartet for your excellent coaching and to those who organised and hosted the summer school.  Another highlight of the time in Nelson was performing in a masterclass with international concert pianist Kathryn Stott and attending several of the performances of the 2015 Adam Chamber Music Festival.
