Children’s Concert with the Toowoomba Concert Orchestra

On Sunday 30 September, I performed within the Toowoomba Concert Orchestra, conducted by Matthew Henry, at the Armitage Centre, as we accompanied ‘Bella’s Bad Hair Day’ narrated by author and illustrator, Stephen Michael King, in two fun children’s concerts connected with First 5 Forever.

‘Dark Romance’ Concert, with violinist Annabelle Swainston at Waiheke Island Musical Museum

On Sunday 16 September, Australian violinist Annabelle Swainston (currently on Fellowship with the Auckland Philharmonic Orchestra) and I performed a recital featuring Schumann’s Sonata for Violin and Piano in D minor, Op. 121 and Ravel’s Tzigane, as well as some Bach, Gershwin and more, at Whittaker’s Musical Museum on Waiheke Island, NZ.  It was a lovely afternoon, with a highlight of a pre-concert beach trip! and it was exciting to have the opportunity to perform on Paderewski’s piano.
