1 December 2013, 2pm – Guest performance at Blackbutt Singers Christmas Concert, in the Blackbutt Memorial Hall, along with many talented local South Burnett musicians, and choirs from the region and beyond.
Joyce Campbell Lloyd Scholarship Performance
23 November 2013 was an exciting night of music at USQ Arts Theatre, Toowoomba as six talented young Queensland vocalists vied for the 2013 Joyce Campbell Lloyd Scholarship. Congratulations to all the competitors on fantastic performances and especially Iain Henderson, the 2013 winner! During jury deliberations, Nicola Hayden and I performed Aaron Copland’s Duo for Flute and Piano, followed by some jazz standards and original material performed by guest artists Kristin Berardi (jazz vocalist) and Bruce Woodward (guitar).
Twilight concert Pittsworth
12 October 2013 – Nicola and I performed as guest artists at a beautiful twilight concert at St Andrew’s Church, Pittsworth. The evening featured many talented instrumental and vocal soloists and choirs from the region.
Grieg Piano Concerto with the Toowoomba Concert Orchestra
18 August 2013 was a hugely exciting afternoon with my first full concerto performance, featuring Grieg’s Piano Concerto in A minor, with the Toowoomba Concert Orchestra, conducted by Matthew Henry! The concert was held at USQ Arts Theatre, and the concerto was followed by several movements of Smetana’s ‘Ma Vlast’.
