From 27 November to 2nd December 2017, I worked as an intern at the 2017 Gisborne International Music Competition in Gisborne, New Zealand.  It was a wonderful opportunity to experience working as a collaborative pianist in a competition setting, being mentored by Sarah Watkins of the NZ Trio, as well as Somi Kim (London) and Rosemary Barnes (Auckland).  Congratulations to all the performers, the finalists and 2017 winner Alex MacFarlane (viola).
